Mickael Cardoso Das Neves came from a family of entrepreneurs and spent his early career as a Chief Financial Officer for a multinational across Asia Pacific. When he moved to the Philippines and began advising local tech businesses, he found something he hadn't expected.

These were capable founders running real companies. But almost none of them could tell you how their business had performed last month. Their books were perpetually behind. Decisions that should have been calculated were closer to guesses. And nobody seemed to think this was unusual, it was simply how running a business felt.

It wasn't a Philippine problem. Mickael had seen versions of it everywhere he'd worked. What was missing wasn't accounting talent; it was the combination of expertise, documented process and cloud technology that would let a small company get the kind of financial visibility a multinational takes for granted.

He founded CloudCFO in 2016 to build exactly that.

Where we are now

CloudCFO today

We're headquartered in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, with a team of in-house accountants, bookkeepers and finance professionals, no subcontractors, no rotating freelancers.

We work with startups, growth-stage SMEs and foreign-owned companies operating in the Philippines, across tech, fintech, e-commerce, lending, marketplaces, F&B, hospitality, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, logistics and professional services.

Since 2022 we've also run offshore finance operations for companies in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, the same teams, the same platform, working as an extension of their finance function.
